The Fairvale High School Student Representative Council consists of 6 students representative per grade in addition to 2 Junior School Captains, 2 Vice Captains and 2 School Captains. Our SRC team is comprised of numerous leaders to satisfy the need of the 1600 students who attend our school.
2011 Captains and Vice Captains work As part of our goals for 2011 we have:
► Changed the structure of the SRC: from being 1 large group, the SRC is now comprised of 3 groups: the environmental, organization and advertising committee.
► Planned and hosted our SRC meetings
(previously hosted by our SRC coordinator)
► Increased SRC involvement in school based activities
► Allocated a recycling coordinator – Ms A from the Special Education Unit
► Increase house spirit – as a major goal for 2011 we have attempted to elevate our school spirit. A gradual process has been seen through our sporting carnivals.
► Have captains’ conferences with captains from other schools – we have had conferences with St Johns Park High School captains where we have been able to exchange ideas and plan community projects such as doing volunteer work.
► Have teachers input on ideas that can be implemented to improve FVHS – this took place early in the year and we thank all those teachers who contributed to this minor project as you all gave us a great number of bright ideas.
In 2011 the following students make up the Senior Leadership Team:
